How does art change a city? Who are the artists behind your favorite murals

Our classroom visits bring the stories behind Ithaca’s public art directly to your students. We explore how murals are imagined, designed, funded, and painted—and share the passion and community collaborations that shape murals across Tompkins County.

Our multi-media presentations are interactive and tailored to who is in the room. Students learn how people of all ages can transform blank walls into vibrant expressions of voice and vision—and what it actually takes, logistically, to make a mural happen.

Pricing (Sliding Scale)

• $0–$200 per visit, based on school resources
• Free for schools organizing (or that have organized) a mural project with Ithaca Murals
